Camille Fournet was born in 1915 and spent the majority of his days working with alligators and pythons. Far from a French Crocodile Dundee, however, Fournet was a maker of exotic animal skin watchbands that that were admired by the likes of Cartier, Chopard, and Harry Winston.

The signature process of making a Camille Fournet watchband is so steeped in luxury that it is more complex than certain surgeries. Requiring sixty different manoeuvres to complete, the watchbands are entirely hand cut and hand stitched to perfection.

In 2000, the Camille Fournet label released its first collection of handbags in Paris and Tokyo. Made with the same souci as the watchbands, the bags are available in a variety of shapes and skins, from the ruggedly scaly python pochette to the silky smooth camel-coloured calf clutch.
