Dividing her time between lace, leather, bed linens, and the latest fabrics for Kenzo, Christian Lacroix, John Galliano, Chanel, and Givenchy, Anne Gelbard is a multi-tasking textile specialist that works with a myriad of mediums.

In 1997, Gelbard turned her Paris atelier into a center for research and the creation of high-end fabrics. She has since revived a special technique for applying copper, silver or gold leaf on all types of fabrics and leathers. Favouring fuchsias and electric blues contrasted by shades of lavender-tinged pewter, Gelbard uses her metallic technique on cushions, chairs, curtains, table linens, wallpapers and decorative panels, giving them a chic and subtly galactic intrigue.
